Denmark and Greenland insisted the pact would not compromise Greenland's sovereignty, with Danish PM Mette Frederiksen and Greenlandic PM Jens-Frederik Nielsen both stressing it recognizes the Kingdom's territorial integrity and Greenlanders' right to self-determination. Danish commentators framed the outcome as a diplomatic win for Copenhagen, noting the deal effectively takes talk of US annexation off the table.
